How very aesthetically pleasing. You did really well to capture this without any of the crystals reflecting the light back too harshly. Did you use soft boxes to light it? It makes me think of my Nana and Grandad's house befor they died, it was always full of little things like this, maybe not made out of crystal though
wow you actually think this is like a professional shot? Thats so cool haha. Unfortunately it's not. I just had some normal lighting from the house and had a set of these glass/crystal object. But it is nice, i took this at my friends house and she has all these amazing little things that'll i'll soon be taking photos of. (:
I do however thank you for taking the time to comment this I get excited when people give me a small critique of my work.
I find it absolutely brilliant. Of course, it's different than other violin photography because it's made of glass. But the idea is just as brilliant. Simple, yet elegant. As odd as it sounds, it makes me smile. (: I think the background better shows the idea of fragility and simplicity.
Lovely. I am of the opinion that glass skulptures are great to play around with for photos. I did some nice shots myself with what I have and I love the results I got so far. This picture is wonderful. I especially like the fact that you had some other glass figures around the violine and you can see the reflection of the light while they are not sharp and the violine is the only sharp point in the middle of it all. Well done.
Thank you for your short critique. I really appreciate it. I'll be sure to have a look at your images as well. Personally this image is one of my favorites. Seeing I'm still an amateur I don't know how to take pictures as good as most people do. I just usually go, oh thats nice and take it. I'll start taking into consideration on peoples views on my recent work and try to incorporate it in my new ones. So once again, thank you. Event hough you might think it doesn't matter, your opinion actually helps me a lot
It's the same with me. I take photos of what I think looks nice and comments and critics are what help me to get better in photography. Therefore I am happy I could help out and of course, you are welcome.
